Intex is a company that sells accessories and pools to be installed above ground. Intex pools are widely used by people who do not want to dig up their garden to install and build a conventional pool. Intex offers customers the option of purchasing the new “Easy Set” pool, which is soft-sided and removable at the end of each summer season.
To keep the pool clean, Intex recommends the use of a pump. The Intex pump is installed outside the pool and is responsible for circulating the water in a closed circuit through a filter, to then return to the pool. Intex makes the pump installation process simple, as are all the accessories that are included with the pump.
Place the Intex pump in a level area 2 feet (0.61 m) away from the pool wall where you will connect the hose.
Attach the union nipple to the top tube connection. The top tube connection is located on the filter part of the pump. Connect the filter union by locating it in the lower hose connection. The lower hose connection is located on the left side of the pump. These pieces will ensure that the pool hose will fit properly into the connections.
Connect one end of the hose to the lowest connection on the pool wall. Attach the other end of the hose to the top connection on the pump. Make sure the hose connected to the pool and the pump are using two hose clamps, tighten with the appropriate screwdriver to secure them.
Connect one end of the other hose to the top connection of the pool, and the other end to the bottom connection of the pump. Make sure the two hose connections are properly tightened with clamps. Tighten with an appropriate screwdriver.
Place a garden hose inside the pool and fill it at least 2 inches above the top connection to ensure that the water will enter the system correctly. Plug the pool pump into an electrical outlet and allow the system to run.
